TagWise is New Zealand’s prequalification system for test and tag operators. We independently assess operators against 10 key areas — including qualifications, insurance, equipment calibration, testing procedures, and health and safety — and award a tier based on the evidence they provide. It gives clients a simple way to verify that an operator meets best practice before hiring them.
TagWise is for two groups. For test and tag operators, it’s a way to prove your standard and stand out from competitors. For clients — property managers, facilities managers, construction companies, councils, and any business that hires test and tag services — it’s a way to verify that the operator you’re hiring actually does the job properly.
A qualification proves you passed a course. TagWise proves you’re operating to best practice right now — current insurance, calibrated equipment, documented procedures, and proper records. It’s the difference between being qualified and being verified. We also understand there are a lot of different qualifications and requirements out there already, so we don’t want this to be time consuming and expensive.

While we have very experienced individuals on the job at TagWise, we don’t actually do any of the testing we just certify and audit those performing testing to ensure a hire standard and improvement across the industry.
