About TagWise
TagWise is New Zealand’s first prequalification system built specifically for the test and tag industry. We exist because right now, there’s no way for a client to tell the difference between an operator who does the job properly and one who cuts corners – or at worst, commits fraud. A qualification tells you someone passed a course. TagWise tells you they’re operating to best practice right now — with current insurance, calibrated equipment, documented procedures, and proper records.
Our assessment framework is built around the requirements of AS/NZS 3760 — the standard that governs testing and tagging of portable electrical equipment in New Zealand and Australia. We go beyond just checking qualifications. We verify that operators have the systems, procedures, and evidence to prove they’re meeting the standard every day, on every job. Because electrical safety isn’t a box to tick — it’s a standard to uphold.

Why the industry needs TagWise
Right now, anyone can call themselves a test and tag operator. There’s no independent check that they’re using calibrated equipment, following AS/NZS 3760, keeping proper records, or even holding current insurance. Clients have no way to tell the difference between an operator doing thorough, compliant work and one who’s just slapping stickers on. That’s a safety risk, a compliance risk, and it’s unfair to the operators who invest in doing it right and the clients who get ripped off.
